MATH 120 Intro Statistics for the Arts & Sciences

Successful performance on Western New England University placement test.

Course Description

This is an introduction to the basic descriptive and inferential techniques for presenting, analyzing, and interpreting data that may arise in several fields. Topics include frequency distributions, measures of central tendency, probability, sampling, estimation, correlation and regression, and one- and two-sample hypothesis testing. Emphasis is on understanding and interpret­ing, not on computations. A standard statistical software package is used throughout the course.

Credit for both this course and MATH 121 or QR 112, is not permissible.
