3 cr.

CJ 303 or CJ 353, and Senior standing.

Course Description

This course serves as a capstone for students interested in victim studies. Students will use skills and knowledge from prior victim studies courses to address victimization issues including intimate partner violence, violence against women, elder abuse, and child abuse and neglect. This course is premised on the belief that those students who are about to graduate from college should have acquired the following basic skills: the ability to think critically, to write clearly, and to speak effectively. During the course of this seminar students will have an opportunity to display their command of these skills through a series of written assignments and class participation.
