LAWW 676 Cannabis Law and Policy



Course Description

This course will focus on how society has historically, and is currently, regulating cannabis. This course takes an in-depth look at the history and current evolving approaches to cannabis regulation, including preemption; legal, professional and business ethics; and enforcement policy. Students enrolling in the seminar must prepare a research paper, make a presentation to the class, and actively participate in class discussion. Students will work with the professor to select a topic for the research paper, which can be drawn from topics covered in class or another topic of interest to the student and acceptable to the professor.
