LAW 699 Business Bankruptcy

Course Description

Recommended for those who intend to practice business law in any form, this course constitutes an intensive overview of Chapter 11, the business reorganization (and often liquidation) provisions available to failing businesses under the federal Bankruptcy Code. Students are exposed to the perspectives of both debtors and creditors in the bankruptcy process. It is required that LAW 746 Secured Transactions be taken previously, but this requirement may be waived by the advance consent of the instructor and approval by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
