LAW 621 International Environmental Law



Course Description

The course begins with an overview of global environmental conditions and with the general framework of international law that provide background for international environmental law. The course then turns to international law regulating various areas of contemporary environmental concern. Examples include the ozone hole, global climate change, and various forms of environmental degradations, of both land and seas. The course considers various approaches to the international law regulation of the global environment, and how these approaches affect various aspects of human life, most notably human economy.
