Course Description

Students are introduced to (1) demography and demographic analysis to interpret social and environmental issues; (2) how social forces influence the emergence and acceptance of new technologies as well as the acceptance and interpretation of "risk"; and (3) the significance of underlying values as they affect the potential for and resistance to social changes necessary for sustainability.
