CS 101 Introduction to Computing

Course Description

This course is designed to introduce the student to various fields of computing in order to help them make an informed choice about which career path they would like to pursue. Topics include data representation, hardware, system and application software, communications, the systems development life cycle and the basics of computer programming. Comparison of the fields will be ongoing throughout the course. Programming basics will be explored using a programming language.

Notes

3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of lab per week. 

This course is a prerequisite.
