ENGL 312 Chaucer and His Age

Two 100-level writing courses with a grade of "C" or better and junior standing, or permission of English chair.

Course Description

This is a study of Chaucer as literary artist and critic of his age. Emphasis is on The Canterbury Tales, materials describing the world of the 14th century, and the oral presentation of Chaucer's verse rather than a linguistic analysis of Middle English. This course satisfies one of the Writing Intensive Course requirements for Arts and Sciences students.
